I know this is just one game but I hope this is an indication that the Cubs are as bad as we are. I love seeing them fail.

Need polanco to come through and he grounds out weakly. 8 walks and a hit batter and only 4 runs. Well off to class.

Don’t wanna read too much into one game because the Pirates could easily lose the next 10 games but so far through 7 innings this is about as good of an opening day as they could have hoped for. Hayes set the tone early with his 1st inning homer and the bullpen so far has looked great.

Whew!! Thought we were going to strand more runners. Want all the runs we can get so the last 9 outs are less scary.
