Cervelli and catching . . .

We all know that the concussion problems that Cervelli has could screw up his future in baseball.

I was browsing YouTube just now and saw and interview from 1976 of Bob Uecker on the Johnny Carson show. He was talking baseball and got talking about how equipment had changed since he retired. He talked about the glove and extra padding in it when he played. Watch the link below and imagine Cervelli and others with concussion problems among catchers using what Uecker did.

Bobster, Quail, Mainer and a few others will appreciate the humor in this clip. The story begins at about the 6:30 point.

Thanks Possum!! The link wasn't to a Carson show, but is was all great stuff from The Ueck!! Especially loved the acknowledgement he gave to Bob Prince during his induction speech.
