The team batting average is currently .218. Other than IABucFan who predicted 0-60 and .091 BA, the lowest predicted BA was .241 (NJBucsFan). Somehow they have managed to underperform even the low expectations we had. Maybe .091 wasn't such a bad guess after all.

Just looked it up, and the Pirates are approaching historically bad territory. The lowest in the modern era is .212 by the White Sox in 1910. No worries. If Shelton keeps running Polanco out there, a new record is in the bag.
