Very interesting route run by Bell. Luckily, the Cards catcher dropped the ball. It all looks good in the score book.

Nice 2B by Polanco. But still with that long swing.

Bell stopped and then didn't know what to do. Cora didn't help him either. Very lucky.

Why not use Meadows as a defensive replacement? Of course, Polanco makes a shoe string catch as I type this.

Let the Kid simmer a little bit on the bench. Make him mad like a rabid dog. Meadows has had a taste . If you want blood you got it . He has it .

We are not going anywhere this year. Wake the fu up !

Next year, wow .

We can't call Taillon an Ace, but that is what Aces pitch like. Great game.

Very encouraging to see Taillon make these last two starts against the Cards. Hopefully he is gonna get rolling again here. The Pirates desperately needed that kind of pitching performance last night after that disaster of a loss on Thursday. This team continues to hang in there and battle and is still over .500 and only 2.5 games out of a playoff spot a few days into June.

Yes. He needs to dominate consistently to earn the tag "ace." But everyone knows he's capable of doing that.

Great outing by Taillon. Dominant.

Love all these triples we're hitting this year. Guys are really busting it out of the box and thinking 3. Good hustling. That extra 90 feet is important with less than 2 outs.

Polanco had another good game and made a nice shoestring catch in RF as well.

Dickerson is a very good hitter isn't he? He is choked up from the first pitch now, it appears. That may explain his power numbers being down while his contact rates are through the roof. I don't know if he's always choked up like that or not, but it's very noticeable vs other hitters. What a steal this guy was... just keeps raking.
