Diaz has only hit .250 in Triple A, but has 39 homers in 600 at-bats. He might be a pretty good guy for a Korean team.

Just an FYI, Yahoo did a write up on their top 89 free agents. Santana was number 62 on their list, which makes me feel even better. Good on the Pirates going above the retread line here.

Yes.  I wish that I could remember the article, but I read an offseason analysis article that listed the Pirates/firstbaseman as needs and Santana as a candidate.



It mentioned factors like his age, performance, and price; things brought up here.  I think that it said that it would be a good fit as long as the team would want to pay it.  I tried unsuccessfully to find it.



Opinions are limitless.  Not much anyone can do but to hang tight and watch what transpires.
