Someone needs to explain to me how the Cubs end up with three guys, none of who are starters

I don't get Swanson. Steele and Stroman are having really good seasons but Swanson is just in the middle of the pack as far as SS go. There are a couple guys who deserved to go instead of him at SS.

There's that every team has to be represented thing with regard to Diaz.

Might get your wish Champ. Kershaw went on the IL and will need to be replaced.

I looked ahead at the selected starting pitchers and it appears Bryce Elder will start next Sunday, taking him out of the game as well, so there are 2 potential slots for him.

Maybe they were thinking that Bednar would get traded to the Braves this week and didn’t want the Braves to have 9 representatives
