Nicassio and LeBlanc placed on Irrevoccable Waivers

There is a report that the Bucs put both players on irrevocable waivers. I think both can be claimed by another team and the Bucs cannot pull them back.

Doesn't make sense that they would simply waive Nicasio and get no return.

He has been placed on outright waivers according to this ... if so, this is a joke.  Could have gotten something for him earlier.  Now, they could get nothing only to save 600K.  This organization simply amazes me - not in a good way.  Big fail by NH.

Are they that desperate to get out from under the remaining $600,000 owed him this year? That's just slightly above the MLB minimum!!!

You forget who owns the team. So, they trade Watson, who was struggling most of the year for two prospects at the trade deadline, but are about to lose their second best reliever on the roster for nothing? Nicascio normally shouldn't bring outrage from fans, but this is another quintessential example of the failures of this organization. I can't wait to see Dog's comment and defense of this.

would be stupid to do this for Nicasio and not Jaso too. Letting Nicasio go for only a small bit of savings is beyond stupid. Well at least we still have Daniel Hudson to look forward to next year.

This is simply inexcusable to throw away your second best reliever. It also depicts an organization that craps on its players. Who the hell would want to sign on to play here? Answer: Nobody of worth
