I realize it can't happen, but WHAT IF the Pirates sweep the Cards this week in STL and leave town just 4.5 games out.

They would have won 8 straight and there would be 16 games remaining.

Would you consider the Pirates to be back in the race, at least sort of?

(Note: To sweep and close to within 4.5 games, the Pirates would also need a couple of Dodgers losses as well.)

I was actually surprised to see yesterday that they were only 7.5 games out.

It'll never happen. But on the other hand, if you can't have unrealistic dreams none of this would be the least bit fun.

I thought he was referring to the remnants of the hurricane that may hit PA.

With respect to the Bucs' chances, they likely are close to non-existent, but, there is always a chance until all possibilities have been eliminated.

Well, when I daydream, the last thing I think about is a storm or hurricane, so ... Mainer, sorry buddy.
