The Cubs need a GM? I wonder if they would take Cherington off of our hands. Maybe we could throe in a prospect is they would take Cherington.

There was a story a couple months ago in USA Sports Weekly, that he would step down after 2021, which would have been 10 years in Chicago.



Wonder what's next for him? Philadelphia will be looking to replace McPhail - could be a possibility. See item 4 in the link below.

MLBNR says that Epstein's taking the year off.



That leaves the Phillies and Mets in doubt, but....money talks and both have it.

nope, he wasn't GM. They still have Jed Hoyer, he is the GM
