The Twins announced today that Miguel Sano signed a three year agreement for 30 million dollars, and now tonight it is announced that they have signed Josh Donaldson for a 4 year contract in the amount of 92 million dollars. The Twins are small market like the Pirates, so when will they sign a player in excess of 17 million dollars per year?

My guess is that Cherington has found out just HOW low the payroll has to be.
Hence we get the catching options we've just added, plus the OF option we just saw.
Now can we get the trades (Marte and Frazier, to be exact) we're all speculating about? The market has "shaken out" a good bit.
I think he's had time, with the input he's had, to get to know the existing talent throughout the system.
