But if Boone assesses that the Pirates are on the verge of winning in the next couple of years because of the influx of good young players, he might be willing to come here and ride that wave. And then get out when those guys leave as they near free agency because he knows, like we do, that Nutting won’t keep them.

that is for sure, this year's team couldn't get hits and doesn't walk much either. Not a good combination.
