I fear that Taillon will never reach the level that was expected of a First Round #2 pick. In fact I think his career will only be going downhill from here.

IMHO, the problem career wise is that next year he'll be 28, will get a late start on the season and will still have had only 1 full season in MLB. He may never be an effective starter for the Pirates again. 2021 prob realistic for effectiveness, if it comes back at all. If it does come back, he's gone in 22' because he'll be in his 70% arb year and a FA in 23'. Another one turns to dust.
We trade Cole and get crushed on the return and Taillon can never have a healthy season at any level.
