Moroff needs to get AB ...Not sure what the clubs thinking with him is . He has showed some promise in minors but then you bring him up, just to sit for long periods. It like they are" trying " to make him a bench piece. Not a good way to develop a player or his value. The kid needs to hit and he hasn't done that in MLB.I would like to see Bostick get a chance.

I think the team looks at him as a back up infielder. There are a bunch of guys who are projected to be starters over him. He might get lost in the shuffle. Frazier being able to be put in the outfield doesn't help Moroff either.

I like Moroff. But I don't think the Pirates are trying to develop him into anything more than a spare part. They recall him when they need a body and don't care much if he gets to play. He's useful as a utility guy with some pop in his bat. Personally, I would like to see him get a legit chance but the org doesn't seem to feel that way. Maybe he'll get moved to another team that will give him a chance.

Moroff is in a weird spot... organizationally he has a couple decent pieces in front of him, and a couple decent prospects right behind him. He HAS to make the most of his opportunities. Go to Indy and rake.

Could’ve used Moroff tonight at 2b, moved SRod to CF, and let Meadows sit against the crafty lefty. It might have meant 10 days without Frazier (next most likely to get sent down), but as a switch hitter, Moroff could have been plugged in at 2b for a week plus to see what he has. It does make the lead off spot an open question though if you don’t want to put that pressure on Meadows yet.

Kingham has been optioned back down for JHay which I’m not a fan of. I was hoping Kontos or someone else would go. Kingham needs to remain in the rotation. This bringing him up sending him down crap every week is dumb. He is one of your 5 best arms now in the rotation leave the kid up here and let him pitch.

The Trib reports Musgrove will start Thursday. So it looks like Kingham will be in AAA for awhile now. I don't like it but that seems to be the plan. I expect Kontos to go when Musgrove is activated.

I really don't know what else to do. Good problem to have, I guess.
