Gotta love sweeping the Brewers. I know Doc is elated. I take back what I said earlier about maybe I should have stayed in

Altoona.

I like his addition to the lineup. He doesn't have big home run power, but he can bunt, he is fast, he can hit to the opposite field. He could be our next Josh Harrison type player. I am glad they brought him back.

Apologies to Earnest Thayer:

Oh, somewhere in this favored land the sun is shining bright,

The band is playing somewhere, and somewhere hearts are light;

And somewhere men are laughing, and somewhere women swoon,

But there is no joy in Milwaukee, the mighty Brewers have been broomed.

During the broadcast they were comparing Marcano to JayHay as far as him potentially being that valuable utility guy who can play infield and OF. They also mentioned how they like his approach at the plate, similar to JayHay, as far as fouling pitches off and staying aggressive.

I do like the kid a lot and see him as a valuable piece to the clubs future.

I thought Brown and Walk were very good throughout the entire series. I don't know if it was a management decision or not but they ditched their usual joking around format and really focused on the games. They let the game be the entertainment instead of trying to do it themselves. It shows they can be very good when they want to be. I hope this signals a shift in the format the rest of the way.

But when Hayes turned that incredible double play, Brown did utter your favorite catch phrase! LOL

I didn’t watch the game this afternoon, so I didn’t hear them mention that. I like his approach at the plate. His rbi hit last night was a single to left field. I liked that.

Yes, the preschoolers watching appreciated it. But other than that, Brown was fine.
