You remain confused.  I've been screaming for his removal while you want Cherington to sign players no other team wants in order for the Pirates to win two more games, which somehow makes Nutting look like he's trying.  You're what's known as a Nutting Apologist.

Some salary dumps are better than others, even if Nutting benefits.  This was one of them.  Now I can't wait for the Polanco dump.
This recent salary dump is only the beginning- Weenie has no chance

I hope more trades are on the way but, frankly, what other team would want any of these guys? The only other person who would trade for any of these Pirates players was fired as the Pirates GM last year.

There's a second- The one who has them. He's had time to get rid of any he doesn't want.

With the trade deadline passed and a net salary reduction of $1,435,000, it appears that Greenweenie has won this contest and a prestigious Clemente Crown. Congratulations go out to Greenweenie.

ain't that some stuff! :)

Honestly, I didn't even make a serious prediction.

I was like our lineup....I swung, but unlike our lineup, I actually hit something.

Shows you what DAVE knows. He said I stood no chance. So there. :P

Nevertheless, Greenweenie has won and if you go over to the Off Topic Board you will see his name enshrined with a Clemente Crown.

I was as wrong as could be in this contest.

I thought there was a slight chance that BC would do something bold to help improve for the future.

Easy as pie. Nobody listens.

Who on here has been barking about Cherington doing NOTHING?

Guess what? He didn't do anything.
