Well, what are the chances Polanco can tie the game? Maybe they should tell him a HR here would be meaningless....that's when you usually hits them

You’re always good for a laugh, Javy.

Still trying to comprehend Brown and Walk's discussion yesterday that Polanco is "getting hot at the right time." They said he's seeing the ball better and getting his timing down. They said he just needed warmer weather to start hitting.

He's currently at .199. He hasn't had a multi-hit game since May 29. And it's now June 29. His highest BA over the last 3 weeks was .206 and it's now .199. If you just go 1 for 5 you can't sink below .200. But again, he's at .199. I wonder what it would look like if he wasn't getting so hot now. I guess it would would probably look a lot like Ka'ai Tom.

With one month to go before he's hopefully, finally, released, it no longer matters if he heats up or not. If he does, it won't be for more than four games anyway because that's about as long as he's ever gone in a, so-called, heated-up state.

He's demonstrated over the past several years that he's no longer useful in any capacity as a player. In fact, he's an absolute liability to any team. We've watched his continued underperformance for several years, the worst of it coming in 2020 and '21. As soon as Alford and/or Oliva are ready to play, bring them here and release him. There's nothing of value that can back for him in a trade. Just let him go.
