Good for Newman.  That sounds like the actions of someone who doesn't stand around and watch others do work.  Or, to say it another way, a person who doesn't feel as if certain jobs are beneath him/her or someone else's responsibility.  It sucks he got hurt, but if that was why he was doing that, good for him.  We need more humans like that.


good post, I think it does show a lot for his character. I can't remember his name but I remember that a hockey player for the Caps got all kinds of kudos because he stopped to change someone's tire after a game a few years ago. He was more than a little embarrassed that it was considered news.

Yeah, it's probably the kind of thing that happens all the time but doesn't make the news.  I mean why would it?

Maybe it should. Maybe the ways to get on the news should be when you help people rather than hurting them. If we promoted that stuff, everyone would want on the news.



We have digressed...but it is a good digression.
