Rumors floating around on twitter that teams have an interest in Frazier. No teams mentioned just a rumor!

I would have no problem if they moved Frazier as long as the return was something that filled a hole on the team. They have several middle infield candidates, and there are some free agent infielders who could replace Frazier as well.

If they move Frazier, would be nice to let Moran play some there so Osuna can get more time at third. His bat should play well at third. Nothing to lose at this point to see if he can stick there

If Marte is being moved, you may as well move Bell and whoever else. I don't think Frazier brings that decent of a return, so I'd keep him.
There is going to be such a gap between the Bucs and whoever is ahead of them in the division rankings its not going to be funny. The Reds are active to turn this thing around ... not really a big market franchise.

It's not surprising that other teams would be interested in Frazier. He's a versatile player who graded out surprisingly high defensively at 2B last year and a consistent hitter. But that doesn't mean the Pirates are looking to move him. That might depend on whether they see Tucker as a starter in 2020 with Newman moving to 2B.

If they move Marte they don’t have to trade Bell. Let’s see how Bell performs this season. If he hits like he did before the All Star Game he is someone to hold onto. Let him play the 3 years in Pittsburgh and then let him walk. The Nationals didn’t trade Rendon, or the Astros didn’t trade Cole. I am not sure if trading a player before he hits free agency is the best way to operate. If they offer the free agent a qualifying offer, they get a high draft pick. Maybe a high trade pick is better than 2 or 3 mid range players one acquires in a trade.

The thing about teams holding onto guys like Rendon, Bell, etc, is what is the CBA going to look like in 3 yrs? How will it affect players who turn down the QO and the return on that player from both teams. The process might be a lot different by the time Bell reaches FA.

We are in a rebuild. What purpose does keeping Bell have at this juncture when we aren't close to competing for anything; we need talent and our owner won't do anything to help with the budget as far as going out to get talent to win. Cherrington was hired to develop the farm system and hope these guys come up and produce on the cheap. There is a stark difference between Houston and Cole; Washington and Rendon and Pittsburgh and Bell. Two of those teams were competitive; winning and had their eyes on winning the title. Pittsburgh does not. Boras won't have Bell resign here or Nutting won't put forth the $$$ to resign him. Bell had a good rookie year; sucked in 2018; great first half of 2019 and then tailed off miserably. If someone wants to pay $2 on the $1 for Josh Bell, you do it and don't look back. It's about accumulating talent. I say trade Bell. Marte alone going in a deal doesn't change the landscape of things.

who said this?
I could see Musgrove getting a good return.
