You're not suggesting that the Cleveland hitters should have laid down in the 9th in order to give Rodon the perfect game, are you?

Wow! In an age where it's rare to see a MLB pitcher go 7 innings we have had two no-hitters in the young season. Sure wouldn't mind a BUC being the third.

And, which one of our arsonists, er sorry, Starting Pitchers would be the likely candidate? It would be a no-no with about 12 walks.

This is exactly why they need to move the mound back behind second base and introduce DHs who are allowed to hit 5-run homers. Too many boring no-hitters.

Maybe if he had moved out of the way he would have got a hit later in the AB. Ya never know. Maybe it's better he got hit. ;D

I think we should just use pitching machines. Too many pitchers get hit with line drives. It would make it a lot safer, and since they just groove fastballs, would insert a lot more offense in the game. It would be much more exciting! We'd draw all sorts of young fans! Chicks dig the long ball, remember!?!?

Only if we used Designated Pitching Machines. Who wants to see regular pitching machines pitch? That's horse and buggy thinking. And each designated pitching machine must pitch to a minimum of three designated hitting machines or else they get a penalty flag and a two-minute minor from the designated umpire machine.

________

If we had a designated GM machine, we could program it to do something.
