According to Jason Mackey, Troy Stokes has cleared waivers, and is a non roster invite to ST. He was removed from the roster Sunday after the Taillon trade.

Stokes does not have many at bats this ST, but he has made the most of them. Appears he will begin the season at Indy, and could be a phone call away to join the Pirates. It seems the new regime likes to claim players like Stokes, Fowler, Alford and Evans to see if they can develop the player who was at one time considered a high end prospect. In my opinion it is worth the risk!
