I realize we haven't even hit the 1/3 mark yet, but Josh Bell has got to be:

* Far and away the most improved player in baseball

* Right at the top of the MVP list at the moment.

Its good to be able to give him a break because we have Melky there to replace him. But I agree Reynolds should be in there as much as possible.

This was another one of those important games the Pirates needed to win coming off a 7-4 road trip you didn’t wanna come home and get swept by a mediocre Rockies team. So this was a key game to win especially with the Dodgers coming in here this weekend. I agree Reynolds needs to play and continue to play. The Pirates have a pretty good problem in the outfield right now.

I second the playing time of Brian or Bryan Reynolds! I would not send him down...He is coming up with some big hits, fielding is above average, decent base runner too. What is there not to like?

I hope they cut Chisenhall as I think his best days are behind him and play Polanco, Marte, Reynolds and Melky in the OF. Just my two cents worth! Beat'em Bucs

We have an OF dilemma and an opportunity. Reynolds, Polanco, and Cabrera are the most deserving of getting playing time from an offensive viewpoint. Marte is our best defensive outfielder and provides our only speed on the base paths. Dickerson who was our best OF last year comes off the DL soon. A decision will have to be made soon on Chisenhall.

That’s 6 OFs for 3 spots plus a bench spot.

The question to ask is who should we try to deal to get some pitching help?

Of course I would like to see us spend some money and just sign Keuchel. Deal one of our lesser OF for bullpen help.

What would you do if you were GM?

This team has shown more resilience than any other I can recall. We have had 20 different players hit the DL and we haven’t even finished May. With the exception of that 8 game slide, this team has rebounded time and time again after getting pummeled.

You have to respect the fortitude of this team.

They deserve an all in backing from ownership!!!!
