Did any of you see that play in Indy the other night? Difo takes home because time out hadn't been called, and no one was covering home.
It was a walk off, but I don't know how it was described.

Even a pitcher knows to go from 1st to 3rd on Polanco.

Told the Indians fans behind us last Friday, when the runner didn't take third on Polanco, which proved costly as he would have scored on a sac fly to tie the game, "They're probably going to fire your third base coach right after the game."

Yeah, every team has to have the scouting report. What's really odd is that traditionally the best arm is in RF to make it tough for runners to go from 1st to 3rd on singles to RF or from 2nd to 3rd on fly balls to RF. Polanco can barely throw the ball back to the infield. If anything, he should be in LF for the shorter throw to 3B. But he's too poor an OFer to handle the spacious LF at PNC.

I'm modestly surprised Shelton let Anderson bat with 2 outs and Newman on second.
