Cards streak is tied for the most in clubs history. What better time to do it than towards the end of the season?
This season has had it all- teams that have been at the top pretty much from the start (Brewers/Rays/White Sox/Houston/GStrings) Teams that came on and are holding (Braves, Dodgers, Red Sox in the WC), teams that got off to an early lead and faded (Mets/Padres), teams that kicked it in towards the tape (Yankees, Ms, BJs, Cardindals) and about 13 teams that never stood a chance.
162 games, six months. That's a marathon, not 100 metres. Timing means a lot.
It's even longer if the behind-the-scenes off-season work that's done before it is taken into account.
