Don't look now, but those "underachieving" Yankees (You know. The team that Cherington gave Taillion to.) are finding their way to the WCG.

The team in first place is there because of the guy we had before.

Then, there's the Padres.

Now I know what BOB meant a while back about being "consistently competitive for championships." ;)

Obviously you haven't checked on the Padres. They are currently 12 games out and 3-7 in their last ten

Obviously, what? The Padres i referred to are the San Diego Padres that would be in the WCG if it was played today.

Meanwhile, we're squawking about some draft pick that won't even be selected until next year.

The Nats had a play today that would make Will Craig proud. Colton Wong was at 3B and the batter hit a foul popup halfway up the 1B line. 1Bman Zimmerman made the easy catch between the line and the dugout and the pitcher and catcher wondered over toward him. With no one home, Wong tagged up and broke for the plate. Since the catcher and pitcher were standing around next to him, Zimmerman could only try to beat Wong to the plate but Wong got there first to score on a foul pop to Zimmerman in front of the dugout.

That might be the most productive out in history

It's the Reds right now. Good to see you touting the WCG as a positive because when it involves the Pirates its somehow a negative and another reason for you to mock them.
