It has something to do with the divisions the two teams are in.
Put us in the AL-East, them in the NL-Central, and it could be different.
Regardless, Orioles fans can talk misery after they've endured 20 straight losing seasons.

Just watched the Mets beat the Giants 6-2 in 12 innings. Tony Watson who didn't figure in the decision, pitched a scoreless ninth. This was his third appearance in a row. Don't see that much anymore

They've been outscored 131-40 in the 14 completed losses. The closest was a 6-4 game in which they trailed 6-2 before tacking on a couple late runs. I always figured the Pirates could catch the D-backs, because the run differential was always running pretty close, but these Orioles are on their own planet now.
