MLB should look at the Rays top of the 8th for a clinic in exciting baseball. Singles, doubles, stolen bases, taking tge extra base, putting pressure on the defense by having runners constantly on the move. Baeautiful inning it was like stepping back in time. And it came at the expense of Joe Maddon even better.

Phillies sweep 4 from the Brewers to take over First Place in the hotly contested NL East. Sweeping the Brewers makes doc very happy

Very, very happy.  My first wish everyday is that the Pirates win.  My second wish is that the Brewers lose.

Huge collision between Hunter Dozier, who was trotting down the line with his head down on a foul pop near the plate, and Jose Abreu who was coming in full tilt and had his eye on the ball.

You have to tune into NFL hilights to see a collision like that, and these are two pretty big men.

Both players are out of the game

Four teams currently have a worse record than the Pirates. Does that mean we are improving? :D

Mets broadcasting crew praising how the Rays are constructed, especially when they get a "fortuitous trade" like the one that brought Meadows and Glasnow.

The trade that keeps on giving. NH it appears, has chiseled a deep spot in MLB infamy already with that trade. It was why he got fired, and it will probably be why he never sees a GM job again

Agreed. Imagine the public outcry from fans of a team that hires the architect of that trade to be their GM. Hard to imagine him ever holding that position again. Or an assistant GM position. Or any position in player evaluation or development.

The man also ended the longest CLS streak in North American major league team sports. And, he did it without the highest of budgets. He did it by making a series of trades that worked in the team's favor. He'll get a job at some point in a similar role.

All he has to do is remind his interviewers of the names of his two superiors.

That's shooting fish in a barrel kind of accomplishment. And it was done on the back of a guy HE didnt draft. Budget or not everyone knows he hit the lottery with Burnett Liriano having the kind of seasons they did. Sorry the man accomplished nothing.
