I really wonder what his trade value is on the open market.  I don't think its as much as we think. Say you trade him for prospects, that 11.5 million won't be reinvested.

This feels like this could be the beginning of the wheels coming off for this team. This will make it 7 out of 9 losses for the Pirates since the 7-4 trip and being 4 games over .500. Makes this game tomorrow afternoon really important. You don’t wanna lose 3 out 4 to the Reds and fall 2 games under .500 the Pirates have to stop the bleeding here after these last two blowout losses.

If this 8 10-0 score holds up the Bucs will have been outscored 69 71-37 in those 9 games.

if the Bucs lose by 8 their run differential will be -71 and the Reds will be plus 44 but we will still be 1.5 in front of the hated Red Legs.

Lets see, we have 3 hits, Dietrich has 3 homers.

If Jameson and Williams aren't able to return anytime soon and Archer continues to struggle, this season will be a disaster. I don't see this turning around anytime soon. There aren't any options left and this organization won't go out and find suitable one's - just cheap ones.

Looks like it, Pirates tweeted "Jordan Lyles was removed from tonight's game due to left hamstring discomfort."

Lyles was injured during the 4th inning but remained in the game to get 3 outs. He didn't come out for the 5th.

Nice for Newman to hit a grand slam for his 1st career HR. Sad that even after a slam, the Bucs are still getting blown out.

Starling Marte plays baseball like Bob Nutting owns a baseball team: neither cares about the team or fans, it’s just free money to them.
