Is Polanco's arm expected to come back? I thought I remembered it being reported that he could play last year but it would take longer for the arm to come back to normal. My assumption was that they did expect that his arm would return but I could me mistaken.

I agree with the concept of keeping him but not being tied to playing him. If he flashes then he is a trade chip and if not, then you move on.

I'm not sure even the team knows. He messed up his shoulder on the slide, had surgery in 2018. He came back in 2019 with a new throwing motion and a team strategy that sent cutoff men closer to him. Then they shut him down after a couple of months because of shoulder pain.

My opinion is that they were hurting so much for OFers that they rushed him back. The guy more or less had a labrum tear and you do not comeback early after that kind of surgery. Again, TBMTIB screwed up.

Agreed, and I hope he did not do more damage by coming back so early.

I agree they rushed him back. Perhaps getting off to a good start made them think they needed to get him back ASAP.
