They're getting exactly what they hoped. To be able to use the word "competitive" and it be defencable.

There's no way to lose now. If they buy, sell, or do largely nothing.

Other than his highight reel throw to 2nd, Cervelli had one of the worst defensive games by a catcher I've seen in a long while.  Unable to block anything, can't catch a foul ball, glove moving all over the zone.

He was able to draw attention to himself several times though and "show up" Rich Rodriguez with his antics twice, so that part of his game is right back on track.

The Pirates need to go make some moves and get some pitching either bullpen or starting pitcher or both. Clearly last night shows the pitching is still not where it needs to be. Hopefully the Pirates can bounce back and win these next 3 games against the Mets. Can’t lose to this team when you’re trying to make up ground in the wildcard race.

We must have committed 6-7 misplays last night Freddy that lead to extra outs, runs, scored errors (some) and extended innings.  We couldn't block pitches, couldn't convert GBs into outs, couldn't really hit (7 hits, 10 strikeouts).

Kingham got hit hard, but the game yesterday didn't point to pitching.  How many outs do they get in an inning?  How many soft groundballs at people need to be induced in order to our pitchers to go in the dugout?

We need an infield.  We needed it before we went on a huge tear lead by our 3 OFers going bananas... and we need it still.   this IF is the worst in baseball.  Hitting and fielding.
