Time for CH to sit Musgrove down and go to the BP which will promptly give up enough runs so that CH can call on the "Nightmare" to get a save! >:(

Diaz now has back to back 3-hit games. He's 6 for his last 9 and 8 for his last 16.

And with a D-Backs loss, your Buccos are officially all alone in the second WC spot.

I rarely check the minor league thread, and I suspect there are others who don’t, and this story is too cool not to have people know about it.

Mason Martin hit not one, but TWO walk-off three run homers for Greensboro today in both games of a DH.

Now did I call how the game progressed? BP let the Pads get back into the game and "Nightmare" came in and let the tieing run come to the plate. Then he shut 'em down.

Well it was Musgrove that gave up the 4 spot and Hartlieb, Liriano, and Vazquez shut the door. Sure!

That's the guy I always add to the prospect list and promote. I think he's going too be a good one.

The Bucs won 7 of the last 10 games on this trip and won the final 3 games of both the Cards and Padres series to win 3 out of 4 in both series. They went 12-9 in the stretch of 16 out of 21 games they had on the road since April 26th. Now it’s time for some home cooking here as the Pirates will play 13 of their next 17 games at PNC park until June 6th. The only time they will travel will be a short trip to Cincinnati next Monday for a 4 game series in 3 days. When that stretch of games is over there will be about 100 games left in this season and the Pirates will start another stretch of 16 out of 21 games on the road from June 7th until July 1st so this is a good opportunity to continue to take advantage of a bunch of home games coming up here and continue to somehow someway stay in this race by mid June early July. This last trip of 7-4 was very impressive I’ll admit I didn’t see it coming at all.
