At least Polanco is not starting for the 2nd straight game. Maybe they're trying to freeze his BA at .195 to enhance his trade value this month. They might not find an eager trade partner at .194.

Polanco likely first needed a day off because he was experiencing problems adjusting to the high altitude in the Rockies. And, he now needs a day off, because as everyone should know, when you cross time zones traveling from the west to the east, all outfielders who are over 6' tall and hitting less than .200 need additional time for their bodies and minds to adjust to the earlier hours from the day before.

Tom was not afflicted with the above problem because he is less than 6' tall; thus he is ready to demonstrate his innate playing abilities to the throngs in Pittsburgh tonight.

Once again poor fundamentals haunts the Pirates as Stallings is doubled off 1B on a long fly out to CF.

Is this the beginning of the post-Polanco Era. Out of the line-up for the second straight day. Are they preparing us for life after his release? I could be the happiest guy on the planet.
