Tonights game with the Kansas City Royals is on ESPN. The ratings have already begun to fall. :-[

No doubt the result of a massive letter writing campaign by the masses who want to see these two titans of the game lock horns.

Not to mention the great, long standing rivalry between the clubs. I really hate Interleague play.

I wonder if ESPN is contractually obligated to televise every team at least once. If so, that would explain putting this a game on during a holiday evening when a smaller audience is anticipated. Don't want to waste a Yankee game on a night when the audience will be smaller.

But you know, if the Pirates don't get on national television at least once, people will bitch that they only show the Yankees, Red Sox, and Dodgers.

Be thankful.

How many times do you suppose that the Bucs players have been reminded by the brass to know when they AREN'T required to tag a guy out? ;)))))))

That. Tie a string around his finger....put a Post It Note all over his house and on his locker door, and set a few reminders on Outlook and his phone. I think some of his neighbors have probably reminded him, too.
