until about a week ago.  Or maybe I did when we signed him and then immediately forgot. But he seems to be getting on base and doing stuff every time I turn on a game.

I hadn't heard of him either. Seems he spent all of the 2017 season on Reds roster as a utility guy (1B, 3B, LF, CF, RF). Hit .208 with 9 HRs. Was a mediocre AAA hitter. He may be battling Reyes for the final bench spot.

It wouldn't be the worst thing if he beat out Cabrera for the 4th OF spot to break camp.

I would currently see the opening day bench being:

Stallings

Kang/Moran

Newman

Reyes

Cabrera

If MLB increases its roster limit to 26 this season, he may make the team as an extra bench player.

Kivlehan looks to be holding his own. The closest thing we have at Triple AAA in an OF to step into PNC and play is Jason Martin and he has not had a full year of Triple AAA> I think it would be a great idea if Kivlehan pans out! The Melk Man can't play all 162 games :D

There should be an update on Chisenhall tomorrow from the trainer. Hopefully he is only going to be out for a few more games. If he is out for an extended time, I would guess that Kivlehan has a good chance of coming north at the end of the month.
