So far they've actually managed to score enough runs to win. 16 runs in 3 1/2 games is certainly adequate if the pitching is as advertised, and with even mediocre defense. But there's the rub.

the Pirates offense has to knock out pitchers when they get in trouble. We should have had more than 3 runs in the first 5 innings of this game.
