Hayes to 10-day Il

It stinks to lose him at all. It’s even worse to sit him for a couple of weeks when his bat has been so hot.

Yea even though it doesn’t look real serious and Hayes should be back hopefully by next week sometime it’s just not the way you wanted to start the season out having him hurt and missing games. The Pirates need to call Todd Frazier up now and plug him in at either 1st or 3rd the next week to 10 days. This is why you signed him to begin with in case there was an injury or whatever and you have a guy with Major League experience that could come up and you can plug him in the lineup. I can live with Evans in the lineup but I definitely don’t wanna see Wilmer Difo playing these next 10 days while Todd Frazier who can help both your everyday lineup and your bench stays at Alternate spring training and rots and does nothing.

That makes sense. But Frazier has not been playing since he opted out. I think they probably just want to get him some BP in the ATS before they activate him.

I think the alternate team plays 3 games against Columbus starting today. Possibly if Frazier gets some at bats he will join the team for the Home Opener. I wish he was in the lineup tonight, but he probably has to go through some COVID requirements before he gets activated.
