We Need a Roster Spot: Who Do We DFA?

I read that Jose Osuna is being considered but I think that would be a mistake. He's valuable depth at the INF corners and RF. We have fungible right handers on the 40-man, including newcomers Aaron Slegers and Jake Barrett, and holdover relievers Feliz, Liranzo and Neverauskas.

I would rather risk losing a fungible righthander than Osuna.

Probably need at least two. Santana on the 60 day DL will open a spot. I would go with a righty (Liranzo, Holmes, Feliz, Barrett, Slegers), or depending on how long Polanco is expected to be out see if they can 60 day him as well.

I could see they might trade Osuna but not just DFA him. I would look for one of the more marginal pitchers.
