The only Ka'ai Tom sighting this year has been 1 AB with SF in April. He's hitting .239 for their AAA Sacramento team.

I am not all that certain regarding the rumors that Josh Bell's defense has improved all that much. I caught a few innings of the Padres - D'Backs game.
On a pick-off throw to first Bell stepped off the bag to get a better angle on his throw to second and then proceeded to make a throw that was about 8 feet wide of the bag.
Looked just like his days in Pittsburgh.
Also, Machado, Sosa, and Bell went down 1, 2, 3 in one of the innings. San Diego isn't getting the big bump they expected from their 2 big deadline deals.

Maybe the Bucs should bring him back as a batting coach. Currently, Heineman, Cruz, Mitchell, Suwinski, VanMeter, Marcano and Allen are all below .229.
