We keep giving away our best guys like that, and we'll spin wheels like never before.
And, Lord knows we've spun some wheels.

Casey Sadler having a fine season in Seattle, was on the IL from May till the end of July. He's given up 3 earned runs in 18.1 innings pitched this season, and has a 1.47 ERA

Brock Holt throws the slowest ever recorded pitch for a strike since MLB started tracking in 2008, at 31.3 MPH. The batter? Josh Harrison

How is it even possible to throw at that slow and still reach the plate?

The Athletics are so pleased they acquired Marte prior to the deadline. Over the past 5 games he is 12 for 24. He is a free agent at the end of the year, which could be an incentive for him. He was good player while with the Pirates, but in my opinion he just never reached his full potential during his time in Pittsburgh. At times he seemed lackadaisical.

Lackadaisical in The Burgh or not, he hit a walk-off HR for the A's on Friday night.

I remember him hitting some walk-off homers for the Pirates as well, but there were times his effort was lacking. In my opinion there were times he did not go 100%.

That was always the issue with Marte. He has a world of talent. It all depended on how motivated he was. He could be great or he could not give much effort.
