The Departed
Joe Musgrove must be a hard-luck guy out there in sunny San Diego. Has a losing record with a good club, even though his numbers are good.
A guy out there who's been doing very well is Mark Melancon. 0.66 ERA, 19 Saves.

proves that you don't have to have a 98MPH fastball to be a good reliever

Good point. No one's mistaking him for Goose Gossage, but he still gets it done.

Partial UCL tear could be the precursor to TJ surgery. If so it could be after the 2022 All Star break when Glasnow returns.

Del Pozo has been recalled by the Tigers. The way he pitched for the Pirates last year, I am surprised he is back in the Majors.

Joey Lucchesi who the Bucs flipped to the Mets in the Musgrove trade has a torn UCL in left elbow. Bucs dodged a bullet by moving him to the Mets.

The Pirates never had him. He was the player in trade talks between the Mets and SD. SD sent him to the Mets. In return, the Mets sent Endy Rodriguez to the Pirates so that the Pirates would send Musgrove to SD for a package of more players from SD. So the Pirates didn't actually have Lucchesi and flip him, nor did SD actually have Rodriguez and flip him. The 3 teams each worked out the players they would acquire from the others.
