Here's a recent article about him. Might be worth taking a flier on him.

Definitely worth picking up the one-time Pirate minor leaguer. Seems odd that they would just drop him after the year he had in 2019.
According to the article he's the odd man out in a crowded OF. Not good defensively.

Angel Mangual died in Puerto Rico at 73. The outfielder got just four at-bats with the Pirates in 1969, and then was traded to the A's for Mudcat Grant. A bench outfielder with the A's, he earned three rings in 1972-74.
For Pirate fans, Mangual was notable as a (the first?) "next Roberto Clemente." He was Puerto Rican and resembled Roberto, and played a strong defensive and slashing hitting game.
RIP

I thought someone else posted this: Juan Pizarro passed away yesterday at 84.

Max Moroff doubled for the Cardinals today. And former 2nd Round pick Stetson Allie, who hit 79 homers in the minors for the Bucs, pitched a shutout inning for the Rays today with two strikeouts.

I guess there still "wasn't much out there" for poor Jarrod.

This, to me, is a sign of hope. A year ago, BC signed the guy. Now, he wants no part of him. I'm going to choose to believe that's a sign of improvement.

Or maybe after signing him last year, BC now knows that if there's one MLB player on the scrap heap who he would not consider signing it's Dyson.
