WoW! Can't we pretend that BLB was loose with his shekles and dream up a deal for Bell like that?
I don't think Glasnow will be able to spend that simulated money.
But this was his first year of arbitration eligibility and he signed a 1 year 2.05 million contract to avoid arb.

Dang, maybe Huntington was smarter than we thought. He was an honest-to-goodness visionary.

And now that don't need to worry about getting it again and being sidelined during a critical series of games, actually works out for players who get it pre season. Guess you could say I don't thing NH was a visionary.

The one thing I'm sure about regarding Huntington was his inability to recognize talent.

Former Pirate Farm Hand Stephen Tarpley got 2 outs in the 4th inning and earned the win for the Marlins today vs the Phils
Tarpley came over from the O's in the Travis Snider deal and the Bucs sent him to the Yanks in the Ivan Nova trade.
He earned his first major league victory last year with the yankees.

I just learned tonight that Oliver Perez set the MLB record for the longest big league tenure for a player from Mexico (18 years). I didn't even know he was still pitching. He was here nearly a generation ago, when I had quite a bit more hair than I have now.
