Kontos did well in the minors last year after the Pirates released him. I read that he was working on regaining the velocity he lost with the Pirates.

Good news! Always like S-Rod. A shame that his second go-round with the Bucs was such a bummer. Wish him well. If his MLB career is over I sure hope he can hang on and get a job as a coach, scout, etc.

Tampa manager Kevin Cash has said that Tyler Glasnow’s velocity is up during the early part of spring training. I always had high hopes for Glasnow, and I hope the Pirates didn’t give up to soon on him.
