Possum, unwittingly, you've brought up a subject where Shedman, one of my most favorite people, and I are worlds apart.  There's only one reason why people don't putt out:  they're afraid they'll miss.  Incidentally, what's the distance for gimme putts?  I've seen guys take them from three or more feet away, which is well beyond the "leather".  And that's the problem:  there's no set distance.  Which is why putting out resolves any question.  Not to mention, it's the rule.

Well, just emulate John Daly and grab a cigarette and hit the flash in the golf bag until you are 3 sheets to the wind and then crank it up and crush it. Hopefully, it will fly straight and long right onto the green!
