Strider of the Braves has a perfect game going against the Marlins through six innings. He’s thrown just 69 pitches and has 10 strikeouts.

Oops, I jinxed him. The first batter in the 7th, Chisholm, reaches on an error by 1Bman Olson.

Strider through the 8th giving up two hits and striking out 13. Not sure if he’ll come out for the 9th as he’s thrown 101 pitches.

Strider done for the night. He’s picked up where he left off last season. His ERA is under 2.00 through five starts.

Cardinals, in what I see as a questionable panic move, option Jordan Walker to the minors.

I predict that the Cardinals make a manager change sometime between today and opening day, 2024. I won't be surprised if it were to happen before the end of this season.

I have to share something with you all. Recently, my dad was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. I share this blog post about the Padres/D-Backs game on Sunday, if you're so inclined. If you could spare a prayer for him, we'd be most appreciative!

Very well written, IA. It never fails to amaze me how baseball plays such an important part of the father/son relationship. I’m glad that you’ve had that relationship with your dad all of your life, up to and including, just a couple of days ago.

All the best to your family, especially your dad, in the coming days and weeks.
