9/24 vs Chicago

Post by INbuc »

One week from the finish line, and out of contention, nothing would please me more than knocking the Cubs out of the divisional title. Taillon got out of that 5th inning jam and we are still riding Cervelli's homer. Let's add some runs and win this thing.

Pirates have played good baseball this month. Pitching is nearly unbelievable. Jamison lights out again.

Been a fun month.

Frazier turns a slick double play and Taillon deals two beautiful curves to Heyward to end the 6th.

Reyes continues to impress. Big insurance run.

I am so sick of political correctness. I would rather watch Reyes swing at whatever he wants, whenever he wants, as hard as he wants. I would like to see Newman and Luplow go swing at a first pitch like they wanted to hit one on Waveland.

Reyes with a first pitch Homer. Did it make it to Waveland?

I just ran across the street and took the W banner out of my neighbor's yard and replaced it with big L.

Fun win.

And it's not meaningless.

Get's the Buccos closer to a winning season.

And a painful loss for the Cubs. A game they wanted in front of a big crowd.

Taillon is on an incredible roll that would get a lot more attention of Williams wasn't on an historic roll.

But to me the story of the game is Reyes. I REALLY like him. His talent. His hustle/effort and most of all his ENERGY.

I'd like to see Reyes on this team in a super utility role next year starting at least a couple of times a week, maybe more.
