Just walked in from a high school game. Not too late to start a rally thread. Let's go Bucs.

Good couple innings by Glasnow. Somebody deserves credit for pitch calling. He is mixing things up and keeping hitters off balance. That second pitch to Carpenter was an off speed beauty --- Carpenter missed it by a foot.

Not sure anyone else is watching, but here are a couple facts I picked up from the Cardinal feed:

1 - Anyone realize when batting the Bucs have struck out less than any team in the NL?

2 - Jordan Hicks has thrown 136 pitches over 100 Mph this season, most in the majors. What the Cardinal broadcast crew didn't say was he has only struck out 11 in 23 innings. ???

Another bad game at the plate for Polanco striking out and not running out ground balls. If I’m Hurdle I give him a bunch of days off and continue to play Meadows everyday consistently.

I agree with you. It appears Polanco is lost at the plate right now. I would start Meadows every game through the Cards series next weekend to see if he continues to hit.

Fitting Polanco strikes out to end the ballgame. He is slipping down near .200 now and should be sitting down now in favor of Meadows.

It was nice to get Marte back. Too bad it was at the expense of their hottest hitter instead of their coldest. Gee, thanks Clint. ::)

This is yet again another inportant game today to win. You win today you are 1 full game up on the Cards and 6 games over .500, you lose and you’re 1 full game behind the Cards and only 4 games over .500. So these two game swings especially within the division in such a tight race are huge. It’s tine for Taillon to pitch a good game today and get a win and win this series. He hasn’t won a game in 7 weeks it’s time for him to get it going.
