Who is Chase Petty

At Doc's suggestion, I am doing a small write up on Chase Petty who I had mentioned to doc a while ago. We thought that some of you might want to follow him at draft time. I have seen him pitch three times. Yesterday there were 30 scouts in attendance all with radar guns. He has been clocked at 102MPH. Yesterday he struck out 17 while hitting 96 on the gun. His previous start was a NO Hitter in which he struck out 18.. He pitches for Mainland Regional High School in Linwood NJ which is 25 miles from Wildwood.He is a projected First Round pick who also signed with the University of Florida. Like doc said, with potential like that, he doesn't need college.

30 scouts???? He would be too expensive for us. One of the large market clubs like the Brewers or the Reds will scoop him up. Does he have a little brother pitching in the Little Leagues right now?
