As Pirates fans, we will forever have to live with "The Play". You've seen it. Surely you have.

As Joe Block doesn't have many supporters, of all the comments made, his best call as a Pirates broadcaster will go down as his finest, and the best one to sum up "The Play"

I am surprised they didn't have Joe on Good Morning America when they showed it this AM

I stand behind nobody in my absolute loathing of Joke Block, but I must tip my cap to that turn of phrase. It neatly sums up this era of Pirates "baseball."
Also, I say this with all due respect to a young man who is far better at baseball than I am or will ever be, but Will Craig should volunteer for the first manned space mission to Uranus. Tomorrow.

Here we are again. The laughing stock of the league. Instead of people pointing the finger at ownership and the front office, they're pointing and laughing at the boys put in the position to represent us.
Will Craig has played 15 total MLB games. The guy was a third baseman. He has NO STRATEGY playing First. Why is he in this position? Bob Nutting doesn't value baseball, the Pirates, or the city of Pittsburgh. He doesn't care how the city is represented- he doesn't live in the city or the state. He doesn't care about baseball. He doesn't interact with fans, nor does he sit in the stands. He sits in his ivory tower suite counting his money because he is afraid of his own fanbase.
We have to come to a point where we stop pointing and laughing at players that shouldn't even be playing in the Majors. (Moran and Evans are out, but there has to be a next man up with a strategy at the position.) If a six-year-old is driving a car, you don't point and laugh at the situation. You rip them out of the car, and lecture the adult in the car that handed the kid the keys and said "drive."

Will Craig has played over 300 games at first in the minors, under 50 at third. There is no excuse for him for this play other than he had a couple of brain freezes. He could have tagged first, he could have tagged Baez, he didn't have to throw the ball to Perez.

This is what they should have playing between innings at PNC Park. Special music by a Circus Calliope for the Circus that Bucs put on the field each game!

Okay, this is the second time you've posted this on this site. The same exact thing was posted on Reddit.
You're either an incredible plagiarist, without regard to fact checking, or a complete moron stating "facts" you have made up or are completely unawares.
Because you're such a Pirates fan, I thought I'd attach this for your completely ignoramus comment.
Oh, and yes, btw, we all hate Nutting, but good for you to act like you're the only one.

Shedman, next time you decide to post something so grossly inaccurate in not 1 but 2 threads you might want to do some research first. There's a lot that ownership and the front office can be blamed for and I agree with your assessment of Nutting. But Craig has been a first baseman nearly his entire professional career. He's not a third baseman suddenly put out of position at 1B due to the cheap owner.

Regardless of minor league experience, Craig can no longer play at the MLB level. It's more than some "brain fart." We have former MLB players saying it. So have some of us.
It's a poor look and we know who to look at. It's more than one guy, but the buck stops and starts somewhere.
It's just that some choose to look the other way; excusing as a momentary mistake by one guy.
How many guys handled that ball? How many didn't communicate effectively? It's organizational, not individual.

Go check the Pirates site. You'll get your answer.
