What's it like to be wrong so often?  I've wanted Polanco out of Pittsburgh before McCutchen was traded away.

I thought you wanted the Pirates to be better.

Polanco is batting .455 and leading the team in HR's and RBI's this spring, but we just can't stand a ball player that is paid more than $1 million per year.  DUMP DUMP DUMP

As I've explained to you a dozen times, I don't care how much money any player earns.  I only care that he can help the team win.  I have little faith Polanco can help the Pirates win, other than a meaningless Spring Training game.

However, I hope he keeps it up for the next four months so that some dope GM will be willing to trade for him.  He has no future here beyond this season, a season in which you think they'll win 46 games.  So you want to keep him so he can help the team win, what, 49 games?  Yeah, that should win the pennant.

That would be #3:

Here are the top 10 excuses and alibis for not acquiring a player.

1. He is an aging veteran on the decline.

2. He is too injury prone.

3. Acquiring him would bring us no closer to a championship.

4. He would never sign to play in Pittsburgh.

5. He would be a clubhouse cancer.

6. Acquiring him would upset the team chemistry.

7. Signing him would lose financial flexibility for a 1 year player.

8.We already have players just as good as him.

9. We are not the Red Sox or Yankees and they would outbid us.

10.He would block this LMG or that LMG from development.

I did some checking- his .455 HR's and RBI"s are when he faced some Clowna who will soon be pitching in the Minors

No, that's the exact opposite of #3. We already have him, and getting rid of him will bring us closer to the pennant.

Does Cahill get some points on this score card, or is it considered another minor league signing by the Pirates.

There is no way the Pirates want Puig in their organization. I would prefer several Todd Frazier’s before I would want Puig. The Pirates are trying to build a winning attitude with the young players like Hayes and Reynolds, Puig’s actions and attitude would not be a good thing in the clubhouse.
