Look, our rotation is NOT GOOD. There is no debating it.
We have about 7 or 8 guys who could maybe be the No. 4 or 5 starter on a really good team.
That's our rotation. Mediocre quantity.
No elite quality.
And that's a recipe for 90+ losses.
Then throw in the fact that the bullpen is even worse than the rotation.
And we can't hit.
And tonight after one inning we are on pace to commit 24 errors.
So that's where we are right now and for the foreseeable future.

Yeah, I have to agree, regarding our rotation.

No way. I’m in a dream. How’d you get in my dream?
8-6 somehow.

Doesn't make sense to double switch and pull Mercer if Brault is going to bat anyway.
Polanco might have been safe at first if he hustled down the line.

Williams isnt a good starter and probably doesn't belong. This defense is killing the pitching.

Polanco down to .202. Thank goodness that dead spot in the order only appears in 3 of every 4 games.
Why is Bell incapable of throwing a baseball?
Idiot manager Hurdle removes his SS in the 4th inning in a PDS (pointless double switch). Brault will stay in the game and bat anyway. The PDS only puts Brault in the #8 slot so he becomes the 4th hitter the next inning rather than the 5th while costing the team its SS and replacing him with the .159 batting Rodriguez.

Neverauskas should be sent back to Indy because he is not major league material. Give another one of the Indy pitchers a chance to pitch in the Majors.

We needed to score a lot of runs last night, so I'm just glad we gave Polanco 4 at-bats so that he could go 0-4 (now hitting .202) and kept our 1.027 OPS guy on the bench.
Really smart baseball move.
